Based out of Montreal, Canada, Arcade Fire is an indie rock band in which band members play from a very wide variety of musical instruments. The band began performing in 2001 in lofts and art galleries of Quebec and released their first studio album Funeral in 2004. Their debut album appeared on many top 10 album lists for 2004 & 2005, and also became Merge Records' biggest selling album to date. Since then, the band has released two more studio albums, with the latest The Suburbs released in August of this year.
